Charisma, clipped.
Charisma, specifically the kind that bends romantic gravity. Often deployed without speaking — 'unspoken rizz' — implying a social skill set the parent word never had to do.
“He's got that silent rizz — didn't even say a word and she's hooked.
Delusion as protocol.
The practice of being delusional as a coping mechanism or manifestation strategy. 'Delulu is the only solulu.' Affirmation dressed as self-awareness.
“I'm staying delulu about this promotion until I see the rejection letter.
An exclamation, contested.
An exclamation used at the sight of a large posterior. Phonetic clipping of 'God damn' rooted in AAVE; broadcast at scale by streamers and re-flattened into a meme by audiences outside the source community.
“Walked into the room and the whole chat just spammed GYATT.
A hot dog. A handgun. Same word.
DMV (DC/Maryland/Virginia) slang for a hot dog, by formal comparison to slang for a Glock magazine. The joke is the syllogism — the word never apologizes for its origin.
“Yo, pass the mustard for this glizzy before the cookout ends.
The Brooklyn intensifier.
An intensifier denoting absolute sincerity. Functions as both adjective and adverb in New York vernacular — an emotional anchor inside hyperbolic speech.
“I am deadass about to quit this job if they ask for one more revision.
Aesthetic verdict, expired.
A judgment of being uncool in a specifically millennial register — Live Laugh Love, minion-era irony, side-part denim. Coined in 2013 by a high schooler; absorbed by media in 2021 with the citation erased.
“Using that specific emoji in 2024 is peak cheugy behavior.
Beautified beyond recognition.
Past participle of 'yassify' — to apply heavy beauty filters or AI enhancement to an image until the subject is unrecognizable. Began as gay slang ('yas queen') run through a face-tuning verb.
“they yassified the founding fathers and posted it like it was nothing.
A confession adverb, declawed.
Originally an adverb meaning 'on the down-low' — a way to soften an admission ('I lowkey want to leave'). Now used to mean nothing in particular, especially in brand copy. The community considers it sanitized.
